Grant Awarded

The Friends of the Anoka County Library was awarded a $1,000 Good Neighbor Grant from the Minnesota Association of Library Friends on May 11. We collaborated with ACL Assistant Director, Sarah Hawkins, to submit a grant to expand the ACL World Language Collection by 50–60 books in 2026.

12% of the county's population speaks a primary language outside of English. The 2024–2028 Anoka County Library Strategic Plan listed materials, resources, and services in languages other than English (LOTE) as an identified area for improvement.
